Terms
Terms of use
These terms govern your use of daberhebrew.com and the Daber apps. By creating an account or using Daber, you agree to them.
Last updated October 3, 2026
Your account
- Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your email address current.
- Your account is for you alone. Keep your sign-in links private; anyone who opens one can sign in as you.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
Membership and billing
- A Daber membership is billed monthly or annually and renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. The price and billing date are shown before you subscribe.
- When a membership starts with a free trial, you are billed when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- On the website, payments are processed by Stripe. In the Android app they are processed by Google Play, and in the iPhone app by the App Store, under those stores’ own terms.
- If a renewal payment fails, we may limit your access until the payment method is updated.
Canceling
You can cancel at any time. Cancel a membership purchased on the website from your profile. Cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription in that store. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not billed again.
Purchases made through Google Play or the App Store are refunded under those stores’ policies. For a membership purchased on the website, contact us.
Learning with an AI coach
Daber’s conversations, explanations, corrections, and feedback are generated by artificial intelligence. They are designed to help you learn Hebrew, but they can contain mistakes, and Daber does not guarantee any particular learning result. Do not rely on Daber for translations where accuracy matters, such as legal, medical, or official documents.
Acceptable use
When using Daber, do not:
- break the law or use Daber to harass, threaten, or harm anyone;
- access Daber through automated programs, or copy its content in bulk;
- get around usage limits, trials, or security checks, or interfere with how the service runs;
- reverse engineer the apps or the service, except where the law allows it;
- resell or share access to your account.
Your content and ours
Your recordings, messages, and feedback remain yours. You allow Daber to store and process them to run your conversations and practice, follow your progress, and improve the service, as described in our privacy policy.
The Daber software, curriculum, lessons, audio, images, and name belong to Daber. While your account is in good standing, you may use them for your own personal learning.
Suspending or closing an account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time; see how to delete your Daber account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or misuses the service in a way that puts other learners or the service at risk.
Disclaimers and liability
Daber is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suited to a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, Daber is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid Daber in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Daber changes. When we make a significant change, we will let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Daber after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.
