About Daber

Speaking is how
the learning starts.

Daber helps English speakers learn Modern Hebrew through conversation with an AI coach. You start using the language while a structured sequence of missions guides what you learn next.

The Daber method

A conversation on the surface.
A curriculum underneath.

Introduce yourself. Ask for a coffee. Make a plan. Every mission gives you something to say—and teaches the words and grammar you need to say it.

What is Daber?

Daber is a Hebrew learning program built around speaking with an AI coach. You can take on missions, short real-life role-plays such as ordering a coffee, chat freely in Hebrew, or practice vocabulary, verbs, and grammar in quick spoken rounds.

Do I need to know any Hebrew before starting?

No. The first level starts with greetings and introducing yourself, and no Hebrew reading is needed. You can listen, speak, and ask for help in English whenever you need it.

I already know some Hebrew. Where do I start?

As a member, you can open any mission and start there. Your next mission follows the furthest one you have completed, and Chat and Practice match your level.

Which Hebrew does Daber teach?

Modern Israeli Hebrew, the language spoken in Israel today, in standard spelling. Vowel marks (nikud) are available as support while you learn to read.

How are the missions structured?

The program has 140 missions in nine levels. You begin with introductions and everyday requests, then move into routines, past experiences, future plans, real-life errands, opinions, formal Hebrew, and native-level conversation. Each mission has its own goals.

Will I learn grammar too?

Yes. Missions cover grammar through conversation: ordering something introduces requests, talking about yesterday introduces past tense, and making plans introduces future forms. You also have focused vocabulary, grammar, and verb practice.

Will Daber correct my mistakes?

Yes. Your coach gives feedback as you speak, and conversation replies can include corrections. You can save words and phrases to practice later.

Am I talking to a person?

No. Your speaking coach, Noa or Itai, is AI. You speak through your microphone and can follow the conversation on screen.

What if I get stuck?

Use an English word, ask how to say something, or tap Explain on any reply for a breakdown of what your coach said.

What do I need?

A microphone and a web browser. On a phone, turn off silent mode so you can hear your coach.

Can I pause or cancel my membership?

Yes. You can pause or cancel anytime from your profile.
